If you were here on the last moments of Imam Sadiq's (AS) life, you would have witnessed something extraordinary. ”What is that?” I asked. She answered: ”It was in the last moments of the Imam's life when he opened his blessed eyes and said: Gather all of my family and relatives now and bring them to me!? Thus, we gathered every one of the relatives until no-one was left. The Coming of the Most Noble MessengerMilad un-Nabi: Eve 17th Rabi ul-Awal Eve: Monday 24th March 2008
With eyes as bright as the shining sun, a reality on the lips more brilliant than the light of the sun, a heart more fresh than the flowers of the gardens of Yathrib and Taif, habits and morals more decent than the moon-lit nights of the Hijaz, a mind more brisk than the strong winds, a bewitching tongue, a heart with heavenly light, firm determination like a trenchant sword and heavenly words on the tongue - such was Muhammad son of Abdullah, the prophet of Arabia, the prophet who destroyed the idols which had separated brothers from brothers. He did not break only the idols of wood and stone but also broke the idols of wealth, indecent habits and party-spirit. The only thing which the cowardly Quraysh desired was money, transferred from the hands of the nomadic Arabs to their own pockets. The only value which they attached to life was that in order to earn profit they should travel through the desert on the back of the camels undergoing extreme hardships and then return to their hometown Mecca - the same Mecca which was the city of idol-worship, and where money was the only thing which counted. Suddenly they heard a voice which shook their nerves. Their hopes were shattered. The world turned away its face from them saying "The value of man is not the same which you have assessed and the object of the creation of the nomadic Arabs is not the same which you think it to be.” ........This was the voice of Muhammad......... Eid – e – Zehra9th Rabi ul-Awal Eve: Sunday 16th March 2008 Day: Monday 17th March 2008 “9th of Rabi al-Awwal is the day of Eid. It is our greatest Eid and the Eid of our followers.” (As narrated to Ahmad ibn Is-haq al-Qummi by Imam Muhammad al-Hadi (AS).)
Ahmad ibn Is-haq al-Qummi was a great companion of Imam Hassan al-Askari (AS). On the 9th Rabi al-Awal, Muhammad Hamadani and Yahya Baghdadi came to visit him and were informed that Ahmad was busy performing Ghusl for that day. When they inquired what the Ghusl was about, they were told that Ahmad had heard from Imam Muhammad al-Hadi (AS), who said: “9th of Rabee’ al-Awwal is the day of Eid. It is our greatest Eid and the Eid of our followers.” After performing his Ghusl Ahmad ibn Is’haq said to the two visiting men: “I have performed Ghusl because today is the Eid of 9th Rabi al-Awwal. I visited Imam Hassan al-Askary (AS) on this day and noticed that his ring was shinning. The people of his household wore new clothes and had applied perfume. When I asked the reason, Imam (AS) said, ‘Today is 9th Rabee’ al-Awwal. It is the day of Eid for us and for our follower.”...... Lady Fatima Masuma Qum (A.S.)Wafat Eve – Tuesday 11th March 2008 Wafat Day – Wednesday 12th March 2008 Titles: Masuma, Karimat Ahl al-Bayt, Tahira, Birth: 1st Dhul Qa’dah, 173 AH Death: 10th Rabi al-Thani 201 A.H. Buried: Qum, Iran
“A lady from my children whose name will be Fatima, daughter of Musa, will die in Qum. On the Day of Judgement this lady will intercede for all my Shi’a to enter Heaven.” (Qadi Nurullah Shustari reporting from the 6th Imam) The title of Masuma was given to this noble lady by her brother, Imam Ali Al-Ridha (AS). It is worth noting that this title was awarded to her after her death and she was not referred to by this name during her life-time. This also nullifies the erroneous view that she died after her brother, Imam al-Ridha (AS), on hearing the news of his death. ......
