SALAMUM ALAIKUM
The Mayoress and I would like to thank all the members of the executive committee for making us so welcome. It was a privilege and honour to visit and see your community and Mosque. The efforts of all your volunteers to encourage the young and senior citizens with talks and learning activities is very impressive. Being the first Mayor of Harrow to visit your lovely Mosque was a uplifting experience, we were made to feel at home with you all being so kind. Seeing several friends and business associates was a pleasant surprise.
May your community go from strength to strength Salams and Duas Cllr Eric Silver Worshipful Mayor London Borough of Harrow |

Imam al-Hadi (A) reported from his fathers that: “Ameer al-Mumineen Ali ibn Abi Talib (A) has said that he (A) once heard the Messenger of Allah (SAW) saying: 'When people shall be resurrected on the day of Judgement, a caller will call me: ‘O Messenger of Allah! Allah has permitted you to reward your lovers and the lovers of your progeny who have followed them for your sake; and opposed their enemies for your sake. You can reward them as you like’. I shall say: ‘My Lord! Paradise! Put them in whatever part of it You like. This is the praised estate, which You have promised’.” (Bihar al-Anwaar) |

"Indeed Allah has hidden three things in three others: His pleasure in His obedience. So do not belittle anything from His obedience since His pleasure may be in the same one. And Allah has concealed His wrath and anger in sins. So do not belittle any sin and consider it to be small. May be the wrath of Allah is in it. And He has concealed His friends and saints among the people. So do not look down upon anyone perhaps he may be the friend and saint of Allah." (Bihar al-Anwaar) |

The Holy Prophet (SAW) has said “Rajab is the month of Allah, Sha’ban is my month and Ramadhan is the month of my followers. Whoever keeps one fast during Rajab becomes entitled to the great pleasure of Allah, the wrath of Allah remains at bay from him and a gate of hell is closed for him.” The Holy Prophet (SAW) has recommended the recitation of an important prayer, to be performed on the first Thursday of Rajab, which will give us the following benefits: (i) Forgiveness of major sins (ii) Safety from troubles of the first night in the grave, and shelter on the day of resurrection, after the Trumpet is blown. |
