Receive a FREE copy of the Hujjat Business Directory 2020

The Jamaat has compiled our first ever business directory, a comprehensive reference made up of approximately 200 businesses owned by members of the community.

Our hope is that when community members need a service or product, they will first refer to a fellow member of the community – the directory contains everything from curtain rail suppliers to osteopaths, and everything in between – so we’re well covered!

JOINT STATEMENT FROM HUJJAT & HYDERI JAMAATS

In: Hujjat, Latest News

Hujjat Jamaat’s COVID-19 Task Force has been formed, with medical professionals and other members of the community, to assess and review the current health climate and decide on proactive measures we should be taking for the well-being and safety of our members and attendees.

Hujjat has been liaising closely with regional and global partners throughout this process.

After careful deliberation, and with the best interests of our community in mind, both Hujjat and Hyderi jamaats have decided to take the extraordinary step of closing the centres for programmes with immediate effect.

This will not include Hujjat (IMS) Montessori nor funeral activities where further guidance will be issued in due course.
The jamaats will liaise with private function organisers directly.

Hujjat Madressa, hosted off-site, will be issuing it’s own statement. Hujjat Saturday Workshop will be suspended until further notice.

Stanmore Jafferys will continue their activities and adjust as necessary on a case by case basis. They will be issuing a statement in the next 24 hours.

The decision to close the centres is made with an abundance of caution in mind with the most vulnerable in our community prioritised and has not been made lightly.

For updates on when normal services will resume, please actively monitor updates on www.hujjat.org and www.hyderi.org.uk

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, thank you for your patience and urge you all to pray for the well-being and safety of all our members and attendees.

Remember events will be live-streamed or broadcast via hujjat.org for you to continue participating remotely.

Best wishes and duas

Coronavirus Update

In: Home Page, News

Dear Brothers & Sisters

The jamaat is keeping a close eye on the evolving coronavirus situation and official NHS and Public Health England guidance. We are thankful to the World Federation for their recent advice too.

We urge everyone to take simple, effective steps to minimise risk. These include:

  1. covering your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze
  2. put used tissues in the bin immediately
  3. wash your hands with soap and water often – use hand sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available

Attendees and members are urged to be sensible and pragmatic.

If you have recently returned from a Category A country such as China or Iran, please follow official guidelines to self-isolate (keep away from the centre) and contact 111.

Further information can be found here: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/

If you are feeling unwell please consider avoiding attending the centre until you have recovered. We have a duty of care to each other. Remember functions are live-streamed via www.hujjat.org so you can still participate remotely.

The jamaat has currently NOT taken the decision to cancel any forthcoming programmes but we will of course be reviewing the situation regularly and keep you informed.

Best wishes and duas
