Annexe Boys Survey Print E-mail
News

As parents, you are aware that the Annexe Boys section currently ends when a boy turns 11 year old. This effectively means that boys of from this age onwards have to attend main hall/ELC Events.

The Annexe Boys Team is currently exploring the proposition of holding 'booster' sessions for 11 to 15 year old boys focussed on Aqaid and further enhancing their knowledge base towards becoming stronger practising shias with age appropriate content and subject matters. A potential is to have these sessions during the Holy month of Ramadan (School Half term, proposed date is 26 May to 2 June) parallel to the main programme (just like Annexe)

To assist us in planning we would be grateful if you could take a few minutes to complete a short survey. https://goo.gl/forms/RejmovpGFbcQpq582

Syria Appeal Print E-mail
News

wfaidsyriaWF-AID is working inside Syria and through the Damascus co-ordination office, we will work to provide both short-term and long-term solutions.

Syria is still in turmoil after years of conflict and around 6 million people are left internally displaced, having escaped their hometowns in search for safety. The UNHCR estimates that some of the 4.8 million refugees those who may have been living temporarily in neighbouring countries are now returning to their homeland after years of displacement.

WF-AID are supporting the Lady Zaynab Helping Hands Syria Appeal to raise funds for medical assessments and treatments, along with emergency aid in the form of food baskets, financial gifts, education supplies and home supplies.

Towns lay in ruins and homes remain gutted due to fires and explosions, forcing families to seek a new home elsewhere. Some Syrian widows and orphans have travelled as far as 350km to reach the Sayeda Zainab (AS) area, in search of solitude and safety.

£100 for immediate aid, in the form of food baskets, financial aid, educational and home supplies for Syriran mothers, children and orphans.

£150 for providing medical assessments, treatments and medicine for Syrian mothers, children and orphans.
