Salaamun Alaykum dear members,

We pray you are all well inshAllah.

Firstly, we are extremely grateful for all the patience and support we have received during the restoration works at Stanmore. It has truly been a challenging time for one and all, however the resilience shown by each and every member has been remarkable. We pray that Allah rewards each of us for our patience, and inshAllah we are able to get closer to Him in our newly restored centre.

Furthermore, we do have a final challenge ahead – many of us are eager to be using the full space for Muharram which is only weeks away – therefore in order to ensure we meet our programme targets – we have consulted with our Fire and HSE Officers – who have provided us with options.

Ladies Imambargah is Alhamdulillah materially ready. However, the bathrooms are still being completed – and therefore, we can not open this area to the public yet.

Gents ground floor area works will start on Monday 06/05/24, and therefore will be closed to public.

Therefore, the following plans are in place during the period of no ground floor access.

Gents will use the 1st floor ELC

Ladies will use the entire ILM suite (1st Floor), along with the 2nd floor recreation area (for those who need Lift access)

Rahmah room will be overflow (Gender to be decided per programme)

Salaatul Jumah will be prayed for Gents in the ELC Hall. Overflow will be in the Rahma room and 2nd floor (ladies) where the facility for congregational Dhuhrayn Salaat will be attempted.

Please note that whilst this is a generic plan, we do understand this will impact individual event organisers – and therefore humbly request that you please contact the Admin office or Secretariat if you have any individual concerns or queries. We will do our utmost to support each request. The team have also setup a dedicated messaging service, as part of a pilot project, set up for any queries as well as fault reporting – please get in touch via WhatsApp on 07564 960910. We ask members to maintain good conduct when sending messages. Note this phone will be checked during working hours – and we will do our utmost to reply where appropriate. Alternatively, the message will be forwarded to the correct department.
