Open Meeting (Shura) and 'Save the Date' for Extraordinary General Meeting

Please be advised of the Jamaat's intention to hold an EGM on Sunday 8 October 2017 at 11:00am at the Hussaini Islamic Centre Wood Lane Stanmore HA7 4LQ, in the ELC to discuss proposed amendments to the Constitution. Formal notice will be given in due course once amendments have been received by the secretariat.

As per clause 18.1 of the Constitution, the last day for notice of amendments (setting out the changes proposed and the reasons for those changes) to be received by the Hon Secretary is six weeks before the General Meeting i.e. Saturday 26 August 2017. Such a notice must contain the name of the proposer, who should be a fully paid up member.

To facilitate debate and discussion surrounding possible amendments, the Jamaat will be holding an Open Meeting (Shura) inshaAllah on Sunday 30 July 2017 at 11:00am at the Hussaini Islamic Centre Wood Lane Stanmore HA7 4LQ, in the Gents hall. All members (Male and Female) are encouraged to attend to discuss the Constitution, specifically relating to the Election Process, in preparation for the forthcoming elections inshaAllah in early Dec 2017.

Life and Family members are encouraged to register their spouses at http://hujj.at/spousereg to ensure they can fully participate in General Meetings and Elections.

Reminder: Members whose subscriptions shows outstanding amounts will be unable to make full use of membership privileges, in particular participating/voting at General Meetings
